Here there is a strong awareness of gastronomy, the availability of the ingredients and how to best use them. Not surprisingly, it was in Turin that Eataly was founded a few years ago that makes these features its greatest strength.
Every year Turin hosts two magnificent international food festivals; the “Salone del Gusto” and “Mother Earth” presenting all the excellence of Italian cuisine as well as promoting sustainable food initiatives.
Surrounding Turin are the areas of Langhe and Roero, both of which have been proclaimed Unesco World Heritage Sites for their unique contributions in winemaking, through thousands of small producers. Here we produce the famous Barolo, Barbaresco and Moscato wines.
We love the world of wine, and we know many wineries and many vineyards that contribute to this excellence in winemaking.
We are passionate about food in general, how present it and its more varied preparations. For many years we have cultivated this passion, learning every day and constantly trying to expand our knowledge and expertise.
We call it the “Art of Living”, formerly practiced by the Latin peoples as a “Modus Vivendi”, which is the art of making every aspect of life precious and full of meaning. This starts from food as awareness, as food for the soul and mind.
For this reason our culture begins in the family, from the recipes that we have been handed down to us from the expert hands of our grandmothers, and then combined and blended with the culture that we have learned through our travels and the knowledge of friends we have made in different parts of Europe and the world.
Many years ago we started cooking and studying the origin of the ingredients and this was a real discovery.
For us, preparing and cooking for someone is definitely an act of love and every day it is more and more interesting to find recipes and ingredients, combining them almost magically, in a perfect union of balance, taste and flavour.
Cooking is a way of life, a way to express our souls and to show what we feel.
We are two people that believe that food and conviviality is a very important aspect in the lives of all of us.
